To observe International Holocaust Remembrance Day, residents shared personal stories, completed a crossword puzzle and read two stories of individuals who assisted those in need during the holocaust.

This Chanukah Rabbi Levi Kirszenberg from Chabad of Sheepshead Bay graced us with his guitar and we experienced a fascinating lesson on how to make olive oil.

A Special Visit From Santa

We would like to thank Santa and his elves for visiting the facility and delivering a present to each of our residents. They had plenty of Christmas spirit and brought joy, cheer and memories of Christmas past. Following the event residents discussed how Christmas is also about the spirit of giving.

Nutcracker Performance Delights Residents

Covent Ballet Theatre visited our residents once again this year. For the holiday season, the students performed excerpts from The Nutcracker. The residents thought the show was extraordinary and delighted in the opportunity to chat with the performers. We are looking forward to their performances in 2017!

Halloween Celebration

We held an exciting Halloween Party and hosted a Two of a Kind Contest. Staff and residents dressed up as a policeman, prisoner, bingo card, deviled eggs and more. Recreation added to the spooky experience with decorated doors, a castle corridor, and spider walls.
